Our Facilitator Ms. Rajbeer Kaur, TGT, Mathematics attended an online workshop on 'Critical and Creative Thinking in Mathematics’, conducted by CBSE, on 22nd, Oct, 2020.

Ms. Ishita Mukherjee took the session and explained the difference between critical and creative thinking. She told various ways to add creativity in Mathematics among students by using various techniques like: making problems open -ended, students creating problems/ sums on their own, and building divergent thinking skills.

Further she said that a critical thinker should have the ability: 

•           to understand the logical connections.
•           to identifies constructs and evaluate arguments.
•           to solve problems systematically. 

She emphasized that both teachers and students should think critically and creatively to make their learning- teaching more enjoyable.
It was an empowering training session for the teachers where they prepared themselves for the needs of new age learners.
